LOS ANGELES, CA (Catholic Online) - Sofia Coppola, filmmaker, hired veteran LAPD Officer Brett Goodkin as a technical adviser on "The Bling Ring," a movie based on a band of young adults charged with stealing roughly $3 million worth of goods from the homes of celebrities including Orlando Bloom, Paris Hilton, Lindsay Lohan, and others. Goodkin will be playing himself in the movie. A recently filmed scene shows him placing handcuffs on a suspect played by Emma Watson, who became famous for playing Hermione Granger in the "Harry Potter" movie series. Trials are still pending for three defendants in the actual case, with Goodkin's testimony being very critical.
