LOS ANGELES, Ca (Catholic Online) - Endeavour will leave its temporary home at LAX on Friday night and will make its way on a two day, two-mile-an-hour trek to the museum. The public is now being told that the planned event, which has been billed as a parade will be blocked from public access except at two public viewing events along the route. Naturally, the public is seething with anger at the announcement. As the LAPD plans to barricade the streets, citing safety and the need to move the shuttle very carefully, members of the public say they feel cheated. Businesses lining the route will now be blocked from access instead of opened, and all this after trees have been removed along the path. However, the LAPD insists the changes are just for safety's sake. Officials are encouraging people to make their way to the Forum on Saturday where they say the best viewing opportunity will be had as well as ample parking. © 2012, Distributed by NEWS CONSORTIUM. - - - Pope Benedict XVI's Prayer Intentions for January 2013 General Intention: The Faith of Christians.
