Something smells fishy at the tuna plant, and it's not the fish.
A man at the Bumble Bee seafood plant has been cooked to death in a bizarre industrial accident. Officials have identified Jose Melena, 62 as the victim.

LOS ANGELES, CA (Catholic Online) - Melena was a six year employee in good standing with the company who was said to give everything he had to his children.

The accident last Thursday morning has kept the plant shut down until today.

According to plant officials, Melena died when he became trapped inside an industrial-sized pressure cooker which was his job to load with tuna. He was discovered by co-workers around 7 a.m. who called for help, but he was already cooked to death in the giant steamer.

Officials explained it takes three men to properly load and operate the machine, so they have little idea how such a bizarre accident could occur.

Plant officials are investigating but they remain at a loss of how to describe what went wrong.
