Ever lose your lottery ticket? You could be (have been) a secret millionaire.
A woman who won $26 million in the state lottery has until November 26 to claim her prize.  She purchased the winning ticket in an east Palmdale convenience store on May 30.

LOS ANGELES, CA (Catholic Online) - State lottery officials are running her in-store surveillance footage to determine if anyone can recognize her. If she does not present the ticket to officials soon, she will forfeit her prize.

She may have just forgot about the ticket.

Lottery officials say that in the fiscal year spanning 2011 to 2012, some $20 million in prizes went unclaimed.

That means there are a lot of secret millionaires out there.

Lottery players are strongly encouraged to sign their tickets and keep them safe. They are also encouraged to come forward quickly to claim their prize and make arrangements with state officials to collect, before their opportunity is lost.
